Hello and Welcome

From the moment you step inside at New Hope Baptist Church, we hope you feel welcome! A friendly hand-shake, a warm greeting, and a friendly smile- we want you to feel like you are visiting family or friends.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”. Hebrews  10:24-25

Spreading God's Word

New Hope Baptist Church was formed in January 1980 and the first services were held in the gymnasium at Alnwick Elementary School.

The first pastor was the late Brother Wallace Cable.

In 1981, work began on what is now the permanent home on Dotson Memorial Road.

The original sanctuary seated approximately 100 people. By the winter of 1984 the church began an expansion project that added 150 more seats and 7 new classrooms, under the leadership of Pastor Brooky Gray & Associate Pastor Ronnie Steele.

Since 1996, New Hope has been under the leadership of Pastor Mike Parker. In April 2001, work began on a new addition, and on June 9, 2002 the first service was held in the new 500+ seat sanctuary.

In 2014, we added our Education Building which includes our Children & Youth Ministries.

In 2022, Phase 1 of our Pavilion began, adding covered outdoor seating and a firepit area. Phase 2 will include adding bathrooms and additional storage.

Pastor Nick Payne, our Youth Pastor, joined the staff full-time beginning in 2025 and taking on the additional role of Associate Pastor.

New Hope is continuing to grow, and with Pastor Mike's leadership, we will continue to glorify Jesus Christ in all that we do.
